Young Achiever: Jane Fusco


Wednesday, April 1, 2015, 9:01 p.m. Noteworthy: Fusco was one of 36 girls chosen to for the Discovery Girls Leadership Summit in Monterey, Calif., a three-day working and writing conference focused on peer role models. Her selection lead to her being featured on the cover of the April/May 2015 issue of Discovery Girls magazine. She was chosen from thousands of applicants, through a 12-question application. The conference explored topics, including body image, bullying and cyberbullying, technology and social skills, and dealing with tough issues in a positive way. Age: 13 Residence: Ross Family: Mother, Cindy; father, John School: Seventh-grader at North Hills Middle School Activities/interests: Singing, dancing, acting, swimming. Fusco studies at Pittsburgh CLO Academy and is a two-time finalist in the Kean Quest Vocal Competition.
