I know it’s hard to not let someone you like look at your paper but it’s not fair to you or the boy, just keep your paper to yourself and if your still feeling like he’s cheating tell the teacher you need to move closer to the front of the classroom you don’t have to tell her why! In 6th grade there was a guy that I hate, who annoyed me in homeroom. He has been the name before mine since 1st geade, so I have to live with it. Since I’m in almost all of his classes, he asks me for the homework every day. Since I want a good reputation, I agree. Later on in the year, I took advantage of it and made him pay me for it. That backed him off a little, but he still annoyed me. Now I understand that I shouldn’t have done that, because you can get in huge troble for helping someone cheat, as well as cheating. Try to explain it to him, and maybe he’ll understand. If he doesn’t get it, say no. A gir’s gotta know when enough is!

sometimes if i know my friend truly doesnt understand the work i help him/her out, because if they just copy, i feel like they would get some of the credit for my work, and later when they have no choice but to work on something independently they wont understand it.

You can offer to help him out with the work if he can’t understand it. If it’s a quiz or test, keep some blank paper nearby to cover your test with. Ask your teacher if you can move to another desk. If you must, and you know the answers, write the wrong answers for some of your questions then quickly change them when he turns in his paper. If he cheats anyway, tell your teacher and he/she will figure something out.

Ask the teacher if you can move seats far away from “the cheater”. Explain to her how he is bothing you and how you can’t pay attention. Or ask the teacher to move him to a new seat far away from you. Hope this helps!!

Your cool for telling him no. Its not your fault that he can’t learn or ask questions from the teacher. If he still is cheating just tell the teacher because most teachers don’t tolerate cheating. He may be mad at you for a while but in the long run you will be doing him a favor for not letting him cheat. YOU will be teaching him that the only person he should cheat off of is himself.
