Dance, Dance Nightmare
My teacher put us into groups one day to make up a song to present in front of the entire school about drug safety. My friends and I put together all these cool moves, back flips, and cartwheels. When we got up on stage, I started counting down the group in 3, 2, 1. I started the song, doing all of the actions while the rest of my group just stood there and stared! I started to cry on stage, and for days everyone in the entire school asked if I was okay!

Yes that was rude what they did but something similar happened to me, but the thing is i’m extremely outgoing so I kept laughing and dancing till the routine was over and i looked back and told the other girls if you won’t dance don’t steal my stoplight! ,then I pushed them off and kept dancing and dancing i even started singing! But girl my advice to you is rub some dirt on it! In other words brush it off people will get over it! trust me it won’t last for long but until then make as many jokes at it as possible and just laugh it off! you go girl ! Emily

Even though something that embarrasing happend, you still had a lot of courage to go up there! That so would have been me, but I would have started to cry, run off the stage, and hide the whole day in the bathroom. You probably set a good example, instead of your friends who kind of bailed! Alyssa

It is just stage fright. It is no problem. And if people make fun of you stick up for yourself. If it’s a boy say “So what I got stage fright and leave me ALONE! I don’t have to exclame my self to you!!” But if it’s a snotty girly girl say “Leave me alone BRAT! Do I amuse you go away!!!!”

you really shouldn’t say that. it’s rude, mean, and bratty. you don’t call people brats and you definetaly don’t shout at them. just tell them that it’s just stage fright and it’s natural. being mean doesn’t get you ANYWHERE.

I can’t believe your group did that to you!! Don’t worry, it will be old news soon. A similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago. We were performing these dance routines at school in front of our whole class, and my group messed up badly, and you could hear people whispering and giggling while we were performing, it was that obvious. And, last year, I was in the spelling bee in front of the entire SCHOOL, and I mispelled the word ceiling!! Everyone thought it was hilarious! Yup, embarrassing moments is the story of my life. Those two are about 2 of the literally dozens I’ve had.

I feel so bad for you!! I am very sorry, I want you to know everybody gets embarrassed sometimes….just most of the time people get embarrassed not at the same time!! Anyways I feel bad for you and I would like you to know that…..but this is coming from someone who wouldn’t get up on a stage if I had to!! I hope that you get over this and I would like for you to know that I will pray for you. I think you probly will get over this but I understand that you got embarrassed. And for all of the kids who asked if you were ok, just say, ya I am ok I got got a little upset but I am ok now. And if they start making fun of you or they ask you if your really, really sure if your ok just say, Hey, I said I am alright and thats what I meant. If they start making fun of you more just ignore them….and trust me….I KNOW what it feels like…I have been teased alot. So I hope that this helps!!

I’m sooooooooooo sorry that happened to you! but….. everybody has en embarrassing moment! once i was playing with some of my friends and one of my friends had made these boys mad. one boy threw a rock at my friend but….. it misset my friend and ensted it hit me right in the head! i couldent feel one of my fingers and i couldent hear in one of my ears! I didn’t know what to do so i started to cry! i ran all the way back to my house but i was so embarrassed! The boy did say sorry and my finger iand my ear were fine but it was really embarrassing! So just don’t lisen to all the giggles and coments people say and the’ll forget about it in no time! your trully Alissa
My Advice
Tell your friends how you feel too. Then, when somebody asks you if you are okay, say how you really feel. Like this “I’m okay, thanks for asking.” or “I’m actully over it. Thank you very much for asking.” Or, if you feel terrible, say something like, “I’m a little mortified, but I’m not mad at anyone. Thank you for being so considerate!” Or what ever you really feel. But if your mad at them, don’t tell anyone that, for privacy reasons. I hoped I helped you!

I totally know how you feel i did something like that at my holiday concert at school for band. My band teacher counted us off and I played flute with 3 other people anyway my teacher whispered to us 1, 2, rea-dy go, anyway I was the only one playing ( it was a long solo for us all) and I was so scared but I knew I would mess up theentire concert if I stopped so I kept doing it annd at the end of the solo I felt a bunch of tears in my eyes ( we had a bunch of rests in that part of the song) but the 3 other girls who plaed flute with me said ” Oh, dont cry that was soo good we totally screwed up and you saved the whole concert!” I felt a little better but I know how embarsassing it is!!!

I had done somethig similar. My classs slip into groups and we had to make a cheer. I had the best moves but my team didn’t do anything. Another time we did a musicle and I made a song and I was stuck singing it!
