Discovery Girls

This summer, LittleMissMatched is working with over 130 Summer Apprentices.  What is a Summer Apprentice, you ask?  Summer Apprentices are aspiring poets, fashionistas, designers, athletes and intellectuals…and they are all girls aged 8-14 years old!  Throughout July, these Apprentices created amazing works of photography.  We wanted to get in on the fun so we are showcasing eight of the winners right here!

The theme for the photos? Skateboards, Frisbees, Cartwheels and Sun…mix it up for Summer Fun!

Inspiration: My inspiration for this photo was my puppy Bobby.  We just got him a few weeks ago and he is really cute and sweet.  I love this photo because I love Bobby and my LittleMissMatched bed set!

Inspiration: I saw this lobster buoy connected to a lobster trap, so why not?  I love it because it captures my idea, summer, Maine, and LittleMissMatched!

Inspiration: I thought I might as well pick something I love to do.  I love this photograph because the sock color just pops but you can see very well that there is something going on in the background. I just love it because it is something I absolutely love to do!

Inspiration: I was inspired when I saw the opportunity to take this picture because of the excellent scenery. I wanted the photo to be of someone walking with their arms swinging as it looked natural and fitted with everything else. I think my photo is like a puzzle – it is made up of lots of different pieces that are all as important as each other when it is put together as one!  I love my photo because it is natural and free. The model’s backpack added to the walking creates a hiking kind of picture, and the scenery adds perfectly – I just love the emotion in the photo!

Inspiration:  My inspiration for this photograph is that I like to hula-hoop and swim so I decided to put them together.  I also thought it was very summery.  I love this photo because I am wearing blue and the hula-hoop is blue (my favorite color!). I like how the background is foggy, and I also like the look on my face.

Inspiration: I was inspired by the idea of summer and my cottage. I spend the whole time at my cottage and what I do most there is swim.  What I love about my photograph is that it is very unique and I don’t think that anybody would ever come up with an idea like it!  I love how I incorporated LittleMissMatched and made my picture stand out.

Soakin’ Up Some Summer Fun!

Inspiration: The inspiration for this photo was a hot summer day. As we were playing outside we needed some cooling off and decided to use the hose. Spraying each other with a hose was a perfect way to cool off. And a perfect photo opportunity. I love the photo because it shows just how much fun we can have during the summer, seeing the water spraying is cool detail, and a surprised expression always makes me laugh.

Inspiration: The things that inspired me for this photo were Frisbees, Gymnastics and the Sun. The interesting thing about this photo is I became inspired by the motion of the Frisbee and used gymnastics to help accomplish the flying through the air, moving gracefully and the firm landing. The product I used was littlemissmatched’s Sailboat Convertible Top.  It shows how the wind helps pick up on the speed of the Frisbee.  I love how the movement of the product is captured.
