DG Culinary Adventures: Apple Cider

Let’s celebrate the Fall with warmed apple cider!

Ingredients

  • 1/2-gallon apple cider (Or just use enough for an individual serving as needed)
  • 3 cinnamon sticks (Or half stick for individual serving )
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (or to taste)
  • 1 orange cut into slices (reserve a half slice for a garnish for each mug)
  • 1 apple cut into slices (reserve a slice for a garnish for each mug)

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a pot or microwave safe bowl. (except for the garnish slices) all other slices go into the pot
  2. Simmer for 15 minutes, poor into cups and garnish with an apple slice and orange slice. Be very careful cider will be hot.

Clean up and you are ready to enjoy!
