We have such exciting news to share with you: Discovery Girls was nominated for a Readers’ Choice Award from Barnes & Noble!
We were nominated because of your “My Worst Day...and How I Survived It” stories. You were brave enough to show other girls the real you, so they weren’t afraid to show their real selves, too. Without your stories, this magazine wouldn’t even exist.
When Discovery Girls first started, nobody believed that people would buy a magazine about real girls...but you believed in us, and your stories and letters are what kept us going.
Now, 15 years later, DG is the only tween magazine nominated for a Readers’ Choice award. We are so proud to be nominated, because DG has always been all about you— our amazing readers.
Not only are you role models, you girls are trailblazers—you’re blazing a trail for the future generation of girls to follow.
Even though we’ve been nominated, we haven’t won yet. Here’s how you can help us:
- Go to Nook.com/ReadersChoice
- Go to “Best Column or Feature” section and vote for Discovery Girls. NOTE: you do not have to sign in with social media or enter the sweepstakes to vote!
- Enter your name and email address and click “next” to submit.
Don’t forget to vote once every day until Nov. 19. Your vote might just be the one that decides whether or not we win.
Remind your friends and family, too! Make sure to ask for your parents’ permission and have them help you!
(P.S. If your parents vote, they can win some cool prizes, like a Nook or a trip to New York for two!)
