Chanukah is Jewish festival, also known as the festival of lights that lasts 8 days. On each day an eight branched candelabra known as a Menorah is lit with an ascending number of candles to match the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French bread /baguette
  • sauce ( tomato -pesto - or try BBQ)
  • shredded mozzarella cheese ( or cheese of you liking)

Go traditional or have a topping selection. Pepperoni, olives, shrimp, peppers. Try a BBQ sauce base wth pineapple and Ham for a different twist.

On December 10, 1948, the United Nations proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in an effort to help define equal rights that all humans on the planet deserve and can help the world achieve lasting freedom, justice and peace. In 1950, Human Rights Day was officially declared by the United Nations. It is celebrated on December 10th each year and is marked by speeches and activities designed to bring attention to the issues surrounding the most pressing Human Rights issues worldwide.

To honor the victims of Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor, an American Naval Station.  The attack is often cited as the catalyst for American involvement in the Second World War,  President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared war on Japan the following day.

Did you know, the USS Arizona Memorial was built in 1962 to mark the resting place of the 1,102 sailors and marines who died on the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

  • 1/4 pound of sharp cheddar
  • log of goat cheese
  • piece of double-crème  brie

November 23 in the United States Thanksgiving Day is a celebration of giving thanks for the harvest and blessings of the past year. It is a day of giving thanks to God for his many blessings and expressing our gratitude to friends and family members. The first Thanksgiving Day feast was held in 1621 between the Plymouth colonists and the Wampanoag Indians. Each year, Thanksgiving is observed on the fourth Thursday in November.

Salut, Hola, Ni Hao, Hallo, Ola are just a few of the way to say hello for the 45th annual World Hello Day on November 21. Anyone can participate in World Hello Day simply by greeting ten people or more. This demonstrates the importance of personal communication for preserving peace.
